Antivirus support
Clapf supports several antivirus products to provide antivirus support:
- avast!
- clamav
- Dr.Web
- Kaspersky
avast!
Prerequisites: You have a working avast! installation.
Edit /etc/avastd.conf and set the following variable in the [local] section:
listen = 127.0.0.1:5036
Use the --enable-avast configure option and (re)compile clapf:
./configure --enable-avast ... make clean all
Set the following variables in clapf.conf:
avast_addr=127.0.0.1 avast_port=5036
clamav
Prerequisites: You have a working clamav 0.95.x installation with periodic checks for updates.
Clamav can be used by either through libclamav when clapf is linked against libclamav (in this case no need to run clamd) or may use with clamd (in this case no need to link clapf with libclamav).
For using libclamav use the --enable-libclamav configure option and (re)compile clapf:
./configure --enable-libclamav make clean all
Set the following variables in clapf.conf:
use_libclamav_block_max_feature=1 clamav_maxfile=100 clamav_max_archived_file_size=31457280 clamav_max_recursion_level=5 clamav_archive_mem_limit=0
If you prefer clamd, use the --enable-clamd configure option and (re)compile clapf:
./configure --enable-clamd make clean all
The variables above don't matter. They should be set in clamd.conf. Instead set the following variable in clapf.conf:
clamd_socket=/tmp/clamd
Important! Using clapf with clamd, it's important that the clamav user (who is running clamd) should have access to the temporary files of clapf, so set the /var/lib/clapf/tmp directory to mode 711 by the following command:
chmod 711 /var/lib/clapf
Dr.Web
Prerequisites: You have a working Dr.Web installation (4.33 is known to work).
Use the --enable-drweb configure option and (re)compile clapf:
./configure --enable-drweb ... make clean all
Set the following variables in clapf.conf:
drweb_socket=/var/drweb/run/.daemon
Kaspersky Anti-Virus for File Server and Mail Server
Prerequisites: You have a working aveserver installation.
Use the --enable-kav configure option and (re)compile clapf:
./configure --enable-kav ... make clean all
Set the following variables in clapf.conf:
